Te Ahu a Turanga Noho Marae

Description:  In week 7, we had an overnight stay at the local Marae in Woodville.  We were immersed in Maori culture and participated in a range of activities.  We set two goals to focus on during our stay.

Big Idea:  

1.  Did you achieve your goals?  How do you know?Yes and I know that because I did sleep for 9hours and 50minutes and I did to work as hard as I could 

2.  What are you most proud of from the marae stay and why?Ti ti torea because it was a bit challenging but fun as well

3.  What challenged you the most and why? Ti rako because it was tricky and it I couldn't to it properly yet

Position and Orientation (Geometry with Eb)

Description: We have been learning about Position and Orientation with Eb. It is a part of our learning about Geometry at maths time.

WALT: give and follow directions using, left, right, up, down, North, South, East and West

Questions:

1. What major landmarks can you see from the Plaza? Bus stop and Subway

2. What is the closest landmark North-West from McDonalds? Bus stop 

3. What direction is the Arena from United Video?south west 

4. After the doctors I turn right down Victoria Ave and turn right at the round about. I travel South-West until the main road. Turn left. Follow road and stop at the 3rd right turn.Travel South-West and stop at the bottom corner of the square. What am I doing?...

After Maccas go up princess st to your first left go West until you get to the square head south to the corner of the square turn west and go to your first right head up north.What am I doing

Story telling

Purpose: create a story to share orally

Description: Oral storytelling is a Maori tradition. We have been planning our own story to tell on the Marae in Week 7.

Evaluation:I don't like my story because it was way to long and I could make it a bit more fun and exiting

Description:in class we wached a video about two people not using the ability to act when on an esculator.

The big idea:I worked with: Tom,Jayden,Tane and I made our own stuck on an esculator movie not using the ability to act.

Math's Knowledge Test

Description:for Maths we did tests with 50 questions if we got 40 or more right you will move to the next stage. Here are my tests.

The Big Idea. I am in stage six because I 26/50 so that's 52% everyone from Troy's class Failed but one.and we a second chance to redeem yourself in three seconds from each questions.

My Swimming Goals T1 2015

Description:for the next 5 weeks we are swimming 3 times a week.We are we want to set a SMART

goal so we are focused when we go swimming.

SMART goal: I am going to improve my freestyle technique by: brushing my arm like a windmill and kick above the water with my head under the water by swimming sports by practicing every day.

Evaluation:I think I did great and I accomplished my SMART goal in the time I had and I could work on just getting to the end because I could almost reach the end but I can't yet

My Childhood

Purpose: share our childhood memories 

Description: Troy and his class looked at some writing so  we did the same.

Remember Easter when I was 7, well if you can't here it goes

Remember It's Easter morning and I got way to exited last night, no not in real life in the story, so when we, I mean my family got to Nanny's farm house the hunt started in the end Jacob had brown delicious chocolate all over his face we all had a exelent time.That was my favourite Easter.
