Athletics reflection

Description: Yesterday RSS had athletics and I didn't get 1st 2nd or 3rd in anything but kiwi house did get a lot of house point because of Trey Lush because he got first in 5/7 events. I think it is defiantly out of Kiwi and Tui house because Jonty is in Tui and he's really sporty. Jonty jumped 1.3 meters in the air.

• What was the most enjoyable part of athletics for you? Why? High jump because I can watch everyone jump even when I'm out so I like it when I see the final two jumpers

• What are you really proud of? Why? I'm proud of being in first second and third in shot put

• What was the most challenging part? Why? The 800m race because it hurts when I run for a long way

• Where to now? What are your goals for next time? Why do you want to focus on this? I think exit time I could get a higher position in the 800m race 

Messi Vs Lewandowski Comparison

Description: In James' math group we are getting information and graphing it. I am with Sam and we are comparing the two football players Lewandowski and Messi. We got a lot of info from Messi but we couldn't get all the information from Lewandowski so we just did: goals, hat-tricks, earnings, world rank, ballon'dor wins, FIFA card, World Cup wins and runner up. This is the Result and graph on sheets and on paper.

Writing

Description: Every Tuesday, Thrusday and Friday we have writing and I am in Elly's writing group and we are making ads to sell the unsellable like a box. My ad has a box with a wishing stone. A wishing stone is a stone which you can have one wish but you have to make it count because you get only 10 wishing stones with a price of $9.99

Description: In James' math group we found out our PAT test score I got a stainine 7 and I need to work on geometry and measurement

Description: throughout RSS we had a market day and you were in a group of three our in a class group. I was in a group of three and I was with Sam Levi and myself and we sold ninja stars(shurikens) and a boys summer activity book and colouring in and a word find.

Book Buddies Term 4

Description: for book buddies we have different buddies and I got paired with Sam M and it's the same thing but my coach is Suzanne and we are reading Matilda. Our activity is trying to make books in minecraft starting with Matilda and going on through the end of the year and maybe next year too.

Description: Every monday afternoon some people go to kapa haka and some people stay in poutama and In ET Reo we have been learning about whakatauki. Whakatauki is a proverb a proverb is like a quote but is a well known saying we have had two whakatauki the to whakatauki are He aha Te mea nui o te ao, he tangata he tangata he tangata and nau Te raurau, naku Te raurau Ka ora ai te iwi. i will show you the picture of the first whakatauki here they are

Description: For the last few weeks we have had writing. Poutama does writing every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I am in Elly's group and we have been looking at sentences. the sentences we have been looking at are simple sentences, compound sentences, complex sentences and adverbial phrases.

Book Buddies Portfolio Post

Description: In week 2 Poutama started book buddies. Book buddies is where you fill out a sheet witch has how fast you read a book and what books you like to read with all the categories to tick if you like them. I have Jacob Sloan as my book buddy we read Tom gates genius ideas (mostly) and we are reading extra special treats (not).

Mathex Portfolio Sample

Description: Every year there's a event called mathex. For mathex practice we did questions from previous years and the event took place at the race course in the modern building. In the event there were 51 teams in the year six group and in the year 5 group had 53 groups in it. The year 6 had 2 teams and so did the year 5s. There were two events one the teams had 15m and the second one was the quick fire round we had 20m to finish the round. In the end the year 6 teams got 20th and the other team got 39th for the year 5s got 21st and the other team got 2nd🏆.

Year Six's Japanese Portfolio Sample

Description: Kon'Nichiwa  on Thursday afternoons the year six's go to japanese. Japanese is where there are two groups there is group 1 and group 2 im in group 2 so i go to japanese second and group 2 go to drama but this is japanese so we are trying to learn our introduction memorized and the basic songs that year 1's learn like heads shoulders knees and toes in japanese and also learning how to greet people.

Volcanoes Weather Inquiry Portfolio Post

Description: every friday poutama does science Ellys class goes with nic looking at the moon, Nics go to troy doing weather and Elly does seed2table you go there for three weeks and this is the last week with troy so Nics  class so I'm going to seed2table which is cooking and gardening I have been looking at volcanoes with my best buddy Sam M and we have been working on this slideshow with the coke and mentos experiment.

Douglas Park Portfolio Sample

Description: On 14th of June 14/06/2016 Douglas Park and Russell Street communicate every year we go to each others school and we play 5 sports which are: Football (Soccer), Rugby, Netball, Hockey and Basket-Ball. I played Basket-Ball and won the trophy there is a trophy for each sport so there are 5 trophies we won B-Ball and Rugby so we lost the flag which was the tararua challenge
